WEA West MIdlands

This short course is aimed at members who have little or no experience of going "on-line" and want or need to learn the basics. So much happens nowadays via websites and emails, it is rapidly becoming an essential skill to have and it’s never too late to start or brush upon existing skills. We particularly welcome those who are nervous or have a fear of the internet, and need some guidance to get started.

The course will cover:

• How to move around in a website to find out what is there;

• How to use "Google" to search for useful information;

• How to set up your own free email address (if you don't have one already);

• How to send and receive an email message.

There will also be time to look at the wide variety of things that you can do via the internet, such as finding information about UNISON, researching family history and keeping up to date with news.

The course runs on Tuesdays and lasts for 3 weeks (one afternoon per week over 3 weeks) 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm.
