This course is an introduction to Computers and IT aimed at those members with no previous knowledge or understanding of the use of a computer. Regardless of whether you currently use a computer at home or at work, knowing the basics is a very useful skill to have.

What does this course cover?

• Opening and closing a computer – A basic understanding of how a computer functions;

• How to use a mouse and basic keyboard skills – Understanding of how a mouse operates and an introduction to basic typing skills;

• An introduction to the desktop and how to launch the most commonly used programmes.

The course runs on Wednesdays and will last for 3 weeks (one afternoon per week over 3 weeks) 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm.
