This course will take you approximately 30 hours to complete so please set aside this time to finish the assigned tasks. As this is a recognised workplace representative role you are entitled by law to paid time off to do this course. As the majority of the course is online, this can be fitted in with other commitments. But you will be required to attend all 5 online tutorials that are set our below:

This course is for UNISON Health and Safety Representatives covers the role of the Health and Safety Representative, Health and Safety legislation, workplace inspections, taking up members’ problems and developing local strategies. This is an essential starting point for new Health and Safety representatives and a useful refresher for those that have not had any recent training.
